I have decided to document and share my preparations and my experience on this blog. My motivation to join IBM Corporate Service Corps is to give my time, energy and skills such a critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity to make a difference in the world and gain a rewarding and memorable experience both professionally and personally.
One can argue that a life without seeking fulfillment is not worth living. Seeking fulfillment is a journey and it never ends. One way of achieving that is feeling your own vitality. I hope to feel my vitality by using my skills and experience to make a difference through this program.
On a personal note; I am also looking forward to the immersive cultural experience and enjoying what China has to offer with my teammates. Leaving home will also give me an opportunity to reflect and to discover myself. I will surely miss my son the most (almost 6 yrs old now) but it will be also great to tell him proudly about my experience and what Mommy did while she is away. Hopefully, I will set a good example to follow and be inspirational to him too.
So if you are interested, follow me...
